Karen Theresa Barmore Riggs, age 57, of Millwood, KY, passed away Tuesday (March 3, 2020) at her residence.

She was born on June 14, 1962 in Carmel, Indiana, the daughter of the late Edward Barmore and Beverly (Wilson) Barmore Poteet.

She was manager at the Caneyville Coffee Shop, who enjoyed making crafts of all kinds, playing Home Interior BINGO and flower gardening.

She is survived by her children, Kellie Riggs McClure (Greg) and Jeremy Riggs, one granddaughter, Lexzy Hanshaw; three siblings, Danny Barmore, Linda Kennison, Sherry Clark, and step-brother, Willie Poteet. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Eugene Riggs and her dad who raised her, Jerry Poteet.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, (March 7, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Kefauver Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 AM on Saturday until time of service.
