Kathern Hazelwood McClellan, age 76, of McDaniels, KY, passed away Thursday, (May 27, 2010) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

She was a housewife and a member of the McDaniels Antioch Methodist Church. She was born on February 12, 1934, in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Paul Mitchell and Mary Gertrude Whitaker Hazelwood.

She is survived by her husband, Marvie, one son, Kevin McClellan (Kim) of Mulberry Grove, IL, two daughters, Connie Smith (James) of McDaniels and Janice Stevenson (Darrell) of Harned, KY, two brothers, Otto Hazelwood of Falls of Rough, KY, and Eugene Hazelwood of Guston, KY, two sisters, Dorothy Embry of Lewisport, KY and Helen Embry of Leitchfield, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Bethel and Virginia Hazelwood.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (May 30, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Kenny McKinney and Allen Self will be officiating. Burial will be in the McDaniels Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, from 9:00a.m to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
