Obituary
Kathleen Marie Scott, age 66, of Blowtown, KY, passed away Monday, (October 12, 2015) at her home in Blowtown.
She was born on January 10, 1949 in Blowtown, KY, the daughter of the late Bill and Ada Mercer Newton.
She retired as janitor from Lawler Elementary School, and formally worked at Phar-Shar Manufacturing. She loved to sew, make quilts and purses, go to yard sales, and couponing. She also loved to cook and can for her family. She was a member of Long Branch Church.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Scott of Blowtown; daughter, Raeann Blankenship (Bobby) of Hudson; son, Tommy Scott of Caneyville; two grandchildren, Christina Basham and Maddie Gibson; one great-grandson, Eastyn Basham; sister, Nancy Saltsman of Leitchfield; brother, Wayne Newton (Judy) of Leitchfield; two aunts, Pauline Newton of Blowtown, and Maggie Decker of Leitchfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, (October 18, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Denvard Decker and Bro. Arnold Saltsman will be officiating. Burial will be in the Bill Newton Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
