Obituary
Kathy Ellen Duke Newton , 60, of Springfield, KY, passed away Sunday (March 6, 2011) at her residence.
She was born on November 18, 1950, in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of Carolyn Elizabeth (Embry) and Lambert Thomas Duke.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Newton Jr. of Springfield, and one son Samuel Eugene (Stephanie) Newton of Springfield, one daughter Sandra (Jimmy) Hebner of Fredricksburg, IN, three sisters, Zelda Embry of Neafus, Clara Jones of Caneyville, and Mary Harmon of Campbellsville, ten grandchildren Shane, Austin, Mikey, Jimmy, Katie, A.J., Lilly, Kyle, Ryan, and Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Carolyn Embry, Inez Hampton, Karen Kay Duke and Reva Webb, and one brother Leslie Duke.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.cst. (March 9, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville.Bro. Stevie Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Embry-Duke Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.cst. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
