Obituary
Kenneth Ray Hazelwood Jr., age 62, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (November 29, 2013) at the VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.
He was born on July 8, 1951 in Louisville, KY, the son of Kenneth Ray Sr. and Mattie Langley Hazelwood.
He was a retired Marine, who enjoyed fishing and spending time with family, and was a member of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Sue Russell (Titus) of Leitchfield and Dorothy Beylek (Dale Vertrees) of Flaherty, KY, 3 grandchildren; Trisha and Noah Russell and Angel Rogers, his mother, Mattie Hazelwood of Leitchfield, KY, 1 sister; Mary Louise Refro (Joseph) of Louisville, KY, 3 brothers; Joseph Allen, James Robert and Mark Anthony Hazelwood (Renee) all of Leitchfield and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his father he was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Faye Wright and his brother Larry Everett Hazelwood.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, (December 3, 2013) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Summit Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
