Larry Wesley Akridge, age 67 , passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Kensington Rehabilitation Center in Elizabethtown, KY after a long illness.

Larry was born on February 3, 1954. He was a farmer, a retired Ford Truck Plant employee, and a member of the Clarkson Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Vanda Darnell Akridge; his son Brian; daughter Amanda; stepdaughter Nicole Ethier; parents James and Charlene; brother Bruce and sister-in-law Tammy; brother John and sister-in-law Valerie, brother Michael and sister-in-law Ann; brother Keith and sister-in-law Peggy; brother David and sister-in-law Kimberly; grandchildren Travis, Reese, Ashley, Clay, Matthew, Chelsea, Tamara, Caleb, and Samantha; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Akridge, his daughter Mary Hazelwood, and his granddaughter Savannah Crawford.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (October 2, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. Saturday until time of services.

The family asks that everyone attending please wear a mask covering their nose and mouth.
