Obituary
Larry Herman Smiddy, age 66, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 5, 2016) at the Norton Hospital in Louisville.
He was born on July 5, 1949, in Louisville, the son of the late Herman and Lillian Miller Smiddy.
He was an automobile detail specialist, who enjoyed mowing grass, cooking, and the University of Louisville Cardinals.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Smiddy of Leitchfield; daughter, Angela Marie Smiddy of LaGrange; four granddaughters, Alexis Renee, Beretta, Rena, and Kayla; two great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Ballenger; and brother, Gerald Smiddy.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Smiddy, his brother, Gary Wayne Smiddy, and the mother of his children, Sheila Smiddy.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (May 12, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday, until time of services.
