Larry Gene Young, age 69, of Lawrenceburg, KY, passed away Saturday, (June 24, 2023) at Signature Healthcare in Lawrenceburg.

He was born on February 18, 1954 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Bobby and Gladys Leona Payton Young.

He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed horseback riding, playing BINGO and was an avid University of Kentucky fan.

He is survived by his sisters, Wretha Ashley (Ed) of Sellersburg, Indiana and Anita Geary Niceley (Bob) of Columbus, Indiana, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, JW Geary; sisters, Christeen Geary Dotson, Alberta Geary Cartuyvelles, and Joyce Geary Milliner; and one infant brother, Billy Joe Geary.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, (June 29, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.  Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of services.
