LaVonne J. Smith, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (August 5, 2023) at Spring View Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

She was born on May 24, 1943 in Spokane, Washington, the daughter of the late Walter and Barbara Walters Smith.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, watching television and really enjoyed her life with her husband, the late, Harold Lee Smith. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was of the non-denominational faith.

She is survived by her son, Samson Smith of Leitchfield; two brothers, Richard and Gary Smith; and one sister, Nancy Weaver.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Smith and her son, Terry Lee Smith.

Cremation was chosen and will be under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, KY.
