Lawrence Gilbert Skaggs, age 59, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (February 20, 2024) in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on January 2, 1965 in Louisville, KY, the son of Cleo McBride Skaggs and the late Lawrence Skaggs Sr.

He was a Wood Grader at OFS who enjoyed drawing, hunting, fishing, and working on cars. Lawrence was also a UK sports fanatic.

He is survived by his mother, Cleo Skaggs; daughter, Jessica Skaggs; grandchildren, Adrian, Casey and Vera; sisters, Stella (Tim), Debbie and Laura (Willie); and a significant other, Kaye. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Layla Johnson and his fiancé, Lynda McStoots.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m.  Friday, (February 23, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Howard Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 on Friday until time of services.
