Obituary
Lena Irene Taylor Ragland, age 95, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (December 3, 2009) in Leitchfield.
She was born on October 28, 1914, in Jefferson County, KY, the daughter of George Anderson and Nora Estelle Majors Taylor. She was a housewife, and mother, and a member of the Clearview Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue R. Harms of Franklin, TN, and Anita Cubbage (Norman) of Leitchfield, five grandchildren, Leigh Ann Weinzapfel, Michael Lawrence Harms, Jeffery Scott Harms, Amy Denise Cubbage, Norman Brian Cubbage; seven great grandchildren, Lucas and Laci Weinzapfel, Sarah and Olivia Harms, Brendan Cubbage, June Cubbage-Troup, and Jacob Michael Harms. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Ragland, seven brothers, Theodore A., William, Floyd, Milton, Freddie, John, and Harold Taylor; two sisters Bertha Etelle and Marjore M. Taylor.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00p.m. CST (December 5, 2009) at the Clearview Baptist Church in Leitchfield. Bros Chester Shartzer, George Smith, and Fred Whitmore will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CST Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday until time of service at the church.
Expressions of Sympathy can take the form of donations to the Clearview Baptist Church.
