Obituary
Leon D. Embry age 70 of Leitchfield, KY passed away at his home Tuesday (December 20, 2011).
He was born on April 27, 1941 the son of the late Josh and Essie Coats Embry of Butler County, KY. He was a member of the Chapel Union Church, and attended the Potter's Hope Church in Leitchfield. He was retired from the Phar-Shar clothing factory as a machine mechanic, and was a regular member of the Pine Knob Theater.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Embry of Leitchfield, one son, Jonathan Leon Embry of Henderson, two brothers, Jerry Embry (Connie) of Morgantown, Damon Embry (Barbara) of Louisville, and one sister, Ada Loretta Embry of Morgantown. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Jamie Ray Embry, and one brother, Laymon Embry.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday (December 23, 2011) at the Potters Hope Church in Leitchfield with Bro. Wayne Clemons officiating. Family will accept friends at the Potter's Hope Church from 1:00 p.m. Friday until service time.
Cremation was requested and a private family burial service will be held at a later date.
