Leslie Blain King, age 62 , of Clarkson, KY, passed away Sunday, (June 19, 2022) at his residence.

He was born on March 2, 1960 in Elizabethtown, KY, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Geneva Higdon King.

He enjoyed working on vehicles, and painting lawnmowers. He was a loving husband and father; loving his family dearly, especially his kids and grandkids. He never met a stranger and would take up with everybody. Leslie and his wife attended Clarkson Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nena Whobrey King of Clarkson; son, Matthew B. King (Ashley); daughter, Geneva Faye Basham (Kevin); two grandsons; five step-grandsons; one step-granddaughter;  three step-great-granddaughters; four brothers, Murrell King (Melissa) of Clarkson, Jeffery King (Kayla) of Owensboro, Dale King of Shrewsbury and Wayne King of Millwood.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Gail King.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a .m. Thursday, (June 23, 2022) at McGrew Memorial General Baptist Church.  Bro. Jason Basham will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrew Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the McGrew Memorial General Baptist Church on Wednesday (June 22) from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
