Leslie Stanley Smith Sr., age 64, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Friday, (February 28, 2020) at his home.

He was born on October 04, 1955 in Gibson, IL, the son of the late Stanley and Mary Jo Quiggins Smith.

He was a brick layer, who enjoyed spending time with his family and watching sports, particularly the UK Wildcats.

He is survived by his wife of almost 15 years, Margaret Bolen Smith of Clarkson; a son, Leslie Smith Jr. of Clarkson; two step-sons, Richard Elliott of Clarkson and Jimmy Carden of Fordsville, KY; three step-daughters, Melinda Schultz of Falls of Rough, KY, Christy Schultz (Jared) of Hartford, KY, and Carol Huffman of Paducah, KY; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren (and two more on the way); five sisters, Rosemary Fentress and Linda Harding, both of Louisville, KY, Betty Jean Clemons and Faye Blair, both of Clarkson and Patricia Franks of Caneyville, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Smith; a step-son, Joseph Carden; three brothers, Harold Sarver, Steve Sarver, and James Robert Smith; and a sister, Margaret Carol Sarver.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, (March 4, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
