Lester David Bruce, age 87, of Westveiw, KY, passed away Thursday, (January 4, 2024) at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, KY

He was born on January 10, 1936 in Breckinridge County, KY, the son of the late Everett W. Bruce and Mary-Ann Moore.

He was a farmer who enjoyed tending to and riding his horses.  He was a member of the National Wagon Training Association where he participated in many trail rides that took him all over the Eastern part of the United States. He was a member of the Leitchfield First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his spouse, Virginia Pearl Bruce of Westview; son, William David Bruce of Westview; one granddaughter, Susan Shane of Florida; one great-grandson, Kenneth David McDaniels of Florida; and one sister, LaVonne Stikeleather.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m on Sunday, (January 7, 2024) at the Leitchfield Memorial Gardens. Bro. Billy Carter will be officiating.
