Obituary
Lewis Sherman Day, age 67, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday (November 7, 2006) at his residence.
He was retired from Brown and Williams Tobacco Company. He was born on July 18, 1939, in Grayson Co., KY the son of Delmer and Dale Edwards Day.
He is survived by one son, James (Eula) Day of Louisville, KY, one daughter, Gina Fruchtenicht of Louisville; two brothers, Delmer and David Day both of Caneyville; three sisters, Doris Cooper and Carolyn Beasley both of Caneyville and Judy Baxter of Leitchfield and four grandchildren, Robbie, Tiffany, Jamie and Pooter. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Day, two brothers and one sister, Joe and Billy Day and Earlene Minton and two grandchildren, Craig and Dillon.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday (November 10, 2006) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Rev. Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial is in the New Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 2:00 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. Friday until time of service.
