Linda Jeanne Butler, age 63, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (September 10, 2026) at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY

Linda was born on May 18, 1963, in Urbana, Illinois, the daughter of the late James and Karen Myles McDade.

She worked as a pharmacy technician for Walmart and retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy after 20 years of employment. She loved to sew, make quilts, and spend time with her dogs, taking them for rides and to the dog park. Linda also enjoyed traveling, being outdoors and people watching. She married her husband, Jeffery Butler, on July 31, 1998.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jeffery Butler; children, Nathan Tritchler (Bridget), Anthony Tritchler, Danielle Phelps (Joe), Jessica Parks, Kristan Butler, Aimee Butler, Shayleigh Butler, and Stephanie Tritchler; her adopted daughter, Rebecca Cunningham (Clay) and her god-daughter, Olive Cunningham; her sister, Teresa Lehigh (Walt); step-brothers, David Fuqua (Michelle), Dennis Fuqua (Sherry), and Donald Fuqua (Suzanne); fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two brothers-in-law, Randy Wilson, and Rick Wallace.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Lisa Wilson, and sister, Kimberly McDade.

Cremation was chosen under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday (September 26, 2026) at 11:00 a.m. at the Clarkson Elementary School with a meal to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
