Obituary
Linda Sue Flake, age 67, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (August 16, 2014) at her residence.
She was born on May 29, 1947, in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Ambrose Newton and Mildred Logsdon Newton.
She was a housewife who enjoyed gardening, canning, and taking care of her family. She was a member of the New Freedom Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Clarence Flake of Leitchfield; her son, Ken Flake of Nashville, TN; her mother, Mildred Newton of Leitchfield; one brother, Paul Newton (Penny) of Leitchfield; and one sister, Louanna Wilson of Texas.
Other than her father, Ambrose Newton, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (August 19, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Edward Cockriel and Bro. Neal Carnes will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
