Obituary
Lloid Edward "Buddie" McGrew, age 87, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (June 6, 2015) in Louisville, KY.
He was born on August 6, 1927 in Big Clifty, KY, the son of the late Lloyd Evans and Ina Franklin McGrew.
He was a wheelsman on a ship, working on the Great Lakes. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, outside work, and tinkering with old cars. He was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines and the Coast Guard from 1957 until 1989.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara McGrew of Leitchfield; his son, Danny McGrew of Indianapolis, IN; and one brother, Omar McGrew of Elizabethtown.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ann McGrew.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (June 10, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
