Lorene Langley Bratton, age 83, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (June 5, 2022) at Grayson Manor Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

She was born on May 25, 1939 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Thomas and Lela Shartzer Langley.

She was a sales clerk who enjoyed talking on the phone, shopping, collecting jewelry, and spending time with her friends and her grandson, Emmett. She was a member of Baptist Faith and attended Potter's Hope.

She is survived by her son, Stephen G. Carroll (Nancy) of Leitchfield; a grandson, Emmett Carroll also of Leitchfield; and a brother, Truman Langley of Illinois. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Carroll; her second husband, David Henry Bratton; a stillborn daughter, Sandra Carroll; three brothers, David, Gene and Glen Langley; a sister, Shirley Coats; a half-brother, Norman Langley; and a half-sister, Ester Peavy.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (June 08, 2022) at the Layman Memorial Cemetery in Millwood.  Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating.
