Lorene McGrew, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (October 29, 2009) at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.

She was born on October 6, 1929, in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of William and Millie Hayse Decker. She was a retired seamstress and was a member of the Antioch General Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Ray (Wanda) of Texas and Barry Niel (Carrie) McGrew of Florida, six daughters, Sandra Holman of California, Barbara Geary (Barry) of Hartford, KY, Donna Morris (Douglas) of Morgantown, KY, Sherry Diane Ford (Steve) of Horse Branch, KY, Kathy Rogers (Jim) of Brazil, IN and Debra Mathis (Johnnie) of Horse Branch, a Step-son, Robert McGrew (Pia) of Olaton, KY, a step-daughter, Mary Lois Krystinicle (Bob) of Louisville, KY, a step daughter-in-law, Eula Mae McGrew of Fordsville, KY, two sisters, Leona VanMeter of Florida and Rena Minton of Leitchfield, two brothers, Delbert and Orin Kip Decker both of Leitchfield, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, several step grand, great grandchildren and some step great-great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Emanuel "Manny" McGrew and four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (November 1, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Billy Mason will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of service.
