Obituary
Lorene VanMeter Wooldridge, age 76, of Leitchfield KY, passed away Saturday, (December 3, 2011) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on July 10, 1935, in Grayson Co, KY, the daughter of the late James Hosea and Virgie Scott VanMeter. She was a housewife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed gardening, her flower garden and her beloved grandchildren. She was a long time member of the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Martha Wooldridge of Arkansas, two sons, Carl (Ginger) and William (Carrie) Wooldridge both of Leitchfield, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three brothers, John VanMeter of Texas, Joe and Carl VanMeter both of Leitchfield and one sister, Margaret VanMeter of Big Clifty, KY.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Patrick Woodridge, six brothers, Chester, Berthel, Edward, Courtland, Floyd and Bill VanMeter, three sisters, Reta Moutardier, Pauline VanMeter and Sylvia McGrew.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday (December 5, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Curtis Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of service.
