Obituary
Loretta Gayle Knight, age 70, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (July 26, 2015) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on August 26, 1944 in Ozark, AL, the daughter of the late Edward Olin and Annie Lorene Cain Tharpe.
She worked as a cosmetologist for 41 years, and enjoyed watching classic movies. She never missed singing Happy Birthday to her family members, And she was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Oakley Knight of Leitchfield; two sons, Richard Basham of Leitchfield and Scott Knight (Michelle) of Bardstown, KY; three daughters, Loretta Lee and Syndie Micsky (Louis) both of Leitchfield, Jana Taylor (Brandon) of Radcliff, and Kim Knight of Nashville, IN; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters, James, Joe, Martha and Becky.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one great grandchild, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (July 29, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Davy Norris will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
