Loretta Meredith, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (March 21, 2013) at the Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on June 2, 1928 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Charles and Angie Skaggs.

She was a housewife, who enjoyed bingo, flea markets, and yard sales and eating out. She was a member for over 50 years of the New Hope General Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Mudd (Russell) and Dianna Mudd (Orville) both of Leitchfield, one son, Jerry Wayne Meredith (Ann) of Leitchfield, two grandchildren, Matthew Mudd (Anna) and Lori Howard (Lloyd), one great grandchild, Emily Howard, two brothers, Robert of Leitchfield and Stanley Skaggs of Alabama, two sisters, Delta McDowell of Clarkson, KY and Sarah Metcalfe of Leitchfield.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ovie Wilford Meredith, a son, Rev. Ronald (T-Berry) Meredith, three brothers, Lester, Russell and Norman Skaggs and one Sister, Marie Clark.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (March 24, 2013) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Matthew Mudd and Stanley Whitaker will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
