Obituary
Louetta Probus Chester, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (January 26, 2008) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on December 12, 1921, in Leitchfield KY, the daughter of Joseph E. and Sadie Carter Probus. She was a retired bank teller and was a 70 year member of Baptist Churches, currently at the Leitchfield First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one brother, Elmer Probus of Buffalo, KY, and two sisters, Mary Scrogham of Muncie, Indiana and Wilma Tilford of Leitchfield and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Chester, two brothers, Russell and Oval Probus and five sisters, Eva Galloway, Elma Childress, Dorothy Hester, Vanda Galloway and a twin sister, Loretta Wittner.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (January 30, 2008) at the Leitchfield First Baptist Church, under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Dunnaway JR will be officiating. Burial will be in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the Church on Wednesday.
