Obituary
Louis Sherman Jackson, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (July 10, 2007) at his residence.
He was born on September 10, 1925, in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Elmer and Lizzie Meredith Jackson. He was a retired clerk at Houchens and was a member of the Smalls Grove Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hope Stapleton Jackson, one son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Bridget Jackson of Leitchfield, four grandchildren, Lacey Marie, Lydia Beth, Samuel Garret and Benjamin Louis Jackson, two brothers, Warren and Bobby Jackson both of Louisville, KY, three sisters, Helen Swift of Leitchfield, Martha Hogan of Wildwood, Florida and Elnora Woods of Cleveland, Georgia. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (July 12, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Gary Embry and Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
