Loyd Decker, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (February 16, 2018) in Louisville.

He was born on February 26, 1948 in Clarkson, KY, the son of the late Green Berry and Clara Bryant Decker.

He was a farmer, and worked as a custodian for the Grayson County School System for 16 years. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and shooting his gun. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1968-1970.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Duncan Decker of Leitchfield; sons, Pendleton Decker (Debra), and Eugene Decker (Betty Jo) all of Leitchfield; step-daughters, Emily Higdon (Charles), Pamela Hayes (Nathan) all of Leitchfield, and Jenna Smith (James) of Cloverport; four grandchildren, David, Luke, Joe and Cole; eight step-grandchildren, Colton, Olivia, Kailyn, Keyarah, Skyelor, Kyle, Hailey, and Noah; sisters-in-law, Janice Ramsey of Leitchfield and Ada Duncan Logsdon of Caneyville; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Spot.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Judson Decker and five brothers, W.A. Decker, Lincoln, Wayne, Green Jr. and Pendleton Decker.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (February 19, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Arland Benningfield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Curtis Woosley Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
