Lucy H Carter, age 98 of Hillview, KY, formerly of Leitchfield, returned to her heavenly father on Wednesday, (January 14, 2015) with her family by her side.

Mrs. Carter was born in Grayson County and was a member of Leitchfield United Methodist Church. Among those whom preceded her in death was her parents, George and Debbie Wilson; her husband, Walter Carter; son, Sherwood Carter.

Mrs. Carter leaves to cherish her memory her son, R. Lyle "Rip" Carter; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (January 17, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. David Harting will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road use John Harper entrance) from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST Friday and at Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. CST Saturday until time of services.
