Obituary
Mabel Ruth Smiley, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (June 4, 2015) at the North Hardin Health and Rehab in Radcliff, KY.
She was born on October 6, 1934 in Breckinridge County, KY, the daughter of the late Willie Grant Kiper and Eva Mae Mingus Kiper.
She was a homemaker, who enjoyed needlepoint and was a member of the Calvert Community Church.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Phil Smiley (June) of Radcliff, 2 grandchildren, Christy Berry (John) and Lisa Newton (Jeremy) both of Leitchfield, 2 step grandchildren Amy Maysonet (Eric) of Newport News, VA and Tiffany Acuff (Jason) of Jacksonville, FL, 4 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren,
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estill Smiley.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (June 6, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Rev. Phil Smiley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Calvert Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
