Mabel Jean Whobrey, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (May 16, 2018) at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

She was born on September 9, 1931 in Sadler, KY, the daughter of Doll and Ollie Meredith Vincent.

She was a housewife who enjoyed cooking, gardening, and loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She was a member New Harmony United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Whobrey and Joey Whobrey (Linda); daughter, Sandy Hayes (Ronnie) all from Leitchfield; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Don Vincent (Joyce) of Leitchfield and Dale Vincent (Martha) of Smiths Grove, KY; sister, Margie Whobrey of Leitchfield; sisters in-law, Bertie Vincent and Martha Vincent, also of Leitchfield.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Whobrey; five brothers, Lonzo, Johnny, Ruben, Buell and Carl Vincent.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, (May 20, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Jason Webb will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Harmony Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
