Madeline Martha Dalton, age 99, of Leitchfield, passed away Saturday, (November 11, 2023) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Hospital in Leitchfield.

She was born on January 21, 1924 in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ora and Gertrude Mitchell.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting and flowers. She loved to fish in her earlier years with her husband, Leonard Dalton, who passed away in 1996. Madeline was a member of Leitchfield First Baptist Church where she loved to be involved in church activities. She was in the Funeral Meals Ministry helping families in their grief. She was a humble, loving person with a quiet demeanor and loved the Lord.

She is survived by her sons, Lee Dalton (Loretta) of Leitchfield and James Dalton (Janet) of Fordsville; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many of friends and members of the church.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, (November 15, 2023) at the Leitchfield First Baptist Church. Pastor Doug King will be officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Fordsville.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and the Leitchfield First Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
