Obituary
Madgie Opal Carroll, age 88, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Sunday (January 27, 2007) at the Edmonson Health Care.
She was born on October 26, 1919 in Edmonson County, KY the daughter of James and Eliza Johnson Whalin. She was retired from the Grayson County School System.
She is survived by two sons, James Clark Carroll (Rebecca) of Kingston, TN and Thomas Earl Carroll (Peggy) of Monticello, KY, one brother, Raymond Whalin Brownsville, one sister, Gladys Duvall of Louisville, KY, her grandchildren, Adrian and Clark Carroll, Suzanne Eubanks and Elizabeth Gregory, her great-grandchildren, William Eubanks and Matthew Carroll. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, six brothers, Milburn, Gene, Glen, Byron, Walter, Everett and Noel and two sisters, Hattie Cook and Marie Whalin.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M Wednesday (January 30, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial is in the Deweese Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
