Marcella Downs went to be in the arms of Jesus at the age of 74 on March 11th, 2011 at her home in Anneta.

She was born December 18, 1936 in Grayson County KY, the daughter of the late Elton and Molly Scott Helson. She was a housewife and a member of the Anneta United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 59 yrs, Carl Downs of Anneta, one daughter, Janice (Arthur) Harrel of Clarkson, one son, Wendel Downs of Anneta, one sister, Margie (Murrel) Stevenson of Clarkson, three brothers, Larry (Cathy) Helson of Leitchfield, James (Alphe) Helson of Murray, KY and Ronnie (Connie) Helson of OH., 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren survive.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday (March 14, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Tim Gage officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
