Margaret Lydia Anne Evans, age 86, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away Saturday, (October 14, 2023) at Caris Healthcare in Hendersonville.

She was born on December 05, 1936 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Charlie and Ada Mae Hayse Williams.

She worked multiple jobs in her career. A devout member of the Baptist faith, she enjoyed going to church, talking about the Lord, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Holiday Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Mary Petrozzi, Karen Foreman, Don Evans & Cheryl Patterson; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six sisters, Verna Haycraft, Virginia "Ree" Armes, Carrie Wolard (John), Mary Alvey. Betty Cain (John Duke), & Lizzie Faye Colmore (Jimbo). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Evans; two grandsons, Christopher Patterson & Jason Lee Cottrell; a brother, Johnnie Williams and a sister, Eva Locke.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, (October 22, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Corey McCaig will be officiating. Burial will be in the Gibson Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
