Obituary
Margerie Grace VanMeter, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (December 22, 2008) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on April 23, 1927, in Illinois, the daughter of the late Claude and Maude Logsdon Whitman. She was a retired supervisor for Phar Shar Manufacturing and was a member of the Antioch General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle VanMeter, four daughters, Elizabeth Kiper (Charlie) of Charlotte NC, Louise VanMeter, Judy Lush, and Joyce Embry (Rick) all of Leitchfield, two sons, Milburn (Marilyn) and Terry (Burnette) VanMeter both of Leitchfield, two brothers, Wesley Bob Whitman of Leitchfield and Wavie Whitman of Louisville, KY, one sister, Clara Franklin of Clarkson, KY, eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11.00 a.m. Wednesday (December 24, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
