Marglean Pharis, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (June 9, 2010) at the Springview Nursing and Rehab Center in Leitchfield.

She was born on August 4, 1923, in Welchs Creek, KY, the daughter of the late Onie and Rendie Lindsey Embry. She was married at seventeen to her late husband, Wilmert. She was a homemaker that loved cooking, gardening, canning, flowers, crocheting, crafts and caring for others. She taught Sunday School and worked with Women's Mission Group when she was younger. She was a member of the Rabbit Flat General Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Raymer (Shannon) of Caneyville, one son, Billy Pharis of Florida, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and lots of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmert, a premature baby, one son, Bobby Haroldean Pharis, two grandsons, one great-grandbaby, one great-great grandbaby and one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday (June 11, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial will be in the Chapel Union Cemetery in Welchs Creek, KY.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
