Margret Ann Bloyd, age 67 , of Falls of Rough, passed away Friday, (July 15, 2022) at her residence.

She was born on July 16, 1954 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late James and Lois Cunningham Scheidell.

She retired from the Jefferson County Sheriff Department after serving since 1985. She was secretary of FOP Lodge #25. She enjoyed boating, gardening, playing board games, cook-outs and campfires with her family and friends, riding the golf cart through the neighborhood and attending all her community functions. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son, Donnie R. Bloyd, Jr. of Falls of Rough; sister, Rose Marie Greene; brothers, James Scheidell, Jr. (Alice), William Scheidell and Christopher Scheidell; several nieces and nephews; a special great-niece, Elizabeth Cottrell; brother-in-law, James Sturgeon; and the father of her son, Donald Bloyd, Sr.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Marie Sturgeon.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, (July 20, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
