Marie Paris, age 91, of Ellettsville, IN, formerly of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, (May 7, 2013) in Louisville, KY.

She was born on October 27, 1921 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Algenon and Levena Thompson Watkins.

She was a housewife, who enjoyed sewing and drawing and "always cared about everyone". She enjoyed attending the Zion Community Church of the Nazarene in Bloomington IN and Kenwood Heights Christian Church in Louisville.

She is survived by her son, Floyd Richard Paris Jr and wife Barbara of Ellettsville, her daughter, Marlene Marie Roseberry and husband, Pat of Louisville, KY, her grandchildren, Travis Paris (Amy), Sherri Arthur (John) Jerrod Paris (Gina), Melanie Pollock and Kimberly Roseberry, her Step-grandchildren, Robin White (Jason) and Lisa Bisig (Brent), her great grandchildren, Morgan, Branson, Kelsy, Gaige, Isabella and Dayton Paris, Elizabeth Conway, Eric and Nolan Arthur, Hayden Pollock and T.J. Goldsmith, her step great grandchildren, Kyle and Kayla White, one brother, Clayton Watkins (Maxine) of Leitchfield.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Paris Sr., three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. CDT Saturday, (May 11, 2013) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Garry Watkins and Bro. Earl Bunch will be officiating. Burial will be in the Claggett cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CDT on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
