Martella Lacefield Woosley, age 86, of Millwood, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

She was born on September 9, 1936 in Butler County, KY, the daughter of the late Ethel and Eva Beatrice Embry Lacefield.

She retired after working for 28 years as a school bus driver for Jefferson County Schools. She enjoyed feeding her cats, flowers and reading. She and her husband, Hester, were married for 62 years until his death in 2015. She was a member of South End Church of Christ in Louisville.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Lacefield (Judy) of Millwood; nieces and nephew, Rhonda Grider (Ricky) of Millwood, Charlet Lacefield (Chris) of Leitchfield and Ronny Lacefield of Millwood; and special friend, Patsy Brown.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hester Woosley and an infant sister, Nora Lacefield.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, (June 11, 2023) at Chapel Union Cemetery. Bro. Joseph Cooper will be officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Union Cemetery.
