Martha "Louise" Steff, age 78, of Louisville, KY., passed away Thursday (January 3, 2008) at the Baptist Home East in Louisville.

She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and a member of the Woodmen of the World. She was born on August 19, 1929, in Steff, KY, the daughter of Willis and Millie Embry Steff.

She is survived by one niece, Brenda Pharris Hillard of Bardstown, KY, two nephews, Edward Jerry Hillard of Bardstown and Owen Lawson of Owensboro, KY. She is also survived by 4 great nieces, 3 great-great nieces and 2 great-great nephews, several cousins, family and friends. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jewell Steff Havens and Ottis Steff Pharris and two brothers, Albert and Edward Steff.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday (January 6, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial is in the Antioch Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 2:00 to 6 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
