Obituary
Marvin F. Cannon, age 85 of Short Creek passed away Wednesday (May 19, 2010) at the Springview Health and Rehab in Leitchfield.
He was born November 20, 1924 in Breckinridge County the son of John Edward and Cordie Carter Cannon. He was a farmer and a member of the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah Ford Cannon, two sons, Bruce and Karen Cannon of Short Creek, John and Kim Cannon of Leitchfield, five sisters, Hazel Wimsatt, Alice Shartzer, Lillian Thomason, Athleen Linton and Doris Reynolds all of Louisville, four grandchildren, Pamela Poole of Falls of Rough, Bryan Cannon of Bowling Green, Clayton and Carter Cannon both of Leitchfield, one step grandchild, Carl Mudd of Maryland, two great grandchildren, Shawni and Abbigail Poole.
He was preceded in death by, one sister, Annie Clark, three brothers, Harvey, Launer and Joe Cannon.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (May 22, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home funeral home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery. Bro Mike Cannon will be officiating.
