Marvin Dixon, age 63, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Wednesday, (August 31, 2022) as a result of a tractor accident.

He was born on February 17, 1959 in Clarkson, KY the son of the late Frank and Callie Oldham Dixon.

He was an auctioneer for Dixon's Auction House in Leitchfield. He retired from the Leitchfield Water Plant. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working with his cows and riding horses. His passion was helping the Amish Community. To Marvin, the Amish were his second family and he loved them dearly. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help out anyone.  He also loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He married Donna Joyce Dixon on July 7, 2018 and blended their families to live a happy life. He was a former member of the Grayson County Saddle Club. He attended Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Dixon of Caneyville; children, Alicia Wells (Kenny), Matthew Dixon (Samantha), Shannon Johnston (Scott), Tabitha Miller, Jennifer Duvall (Brian) and his bonus son, Doug Walden; grandchildren, Neil, Travis, Alex and Laura Wells, Alisa and Alayna Johnston and Brayden Duvall; three sisters, Sue Fields, Frances Fulkerson and Mary Sherrard; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Hart, two sisters,

Faye Probus and Margaret Moore.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (September 6, 2022) at the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church on Caney Creek Road. Bro. John Geary will be officiating. Burial will be in the Shrewsbury Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
