Marvin Rex Weeks, age 93 , of Melbourne, FL, passed away Monday, (February 21, 2022) at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL.

He was born on July 28, 1928 in Birmingham, AL, the son of the late J.P. and Margaret Collier Weeks.

A veteran of the US Army, Marvin served during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. He later worked as a Supervisor at Florida Power and Light for over 37 years. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Naples, the Cyprus Masonic Lodge # 295, the Scottish Rite and both the American Legion and the VFW.

He is survived by his children, Marvin Vaughn Weeks of Fordsville, KY, Jannette Weeks Guarino of Indiatlantic, FL, Linda Weeks Walker of Silver Springs, FL and Susan Kay Weeks of Naples, FL; and three grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Clark Weeks and two brothers, Henry Jack and Wesley M. Weeks.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (March 2, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Bobby Clark will be officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
