Mrs. Mary Aitken , age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (March 3, 2021) at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on June 22, 1938 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late William and Ada Rankin Stone.

She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and was a member of the Stones View United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Randy Aitken and his wife Sheila of Leitchfield, KY, who were also her caregivers; and one daughter, Bobbi Aitken of Florida. She was loved by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Mary was loving known as "Aunt Mag" to many nieces and nephews who also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Mitchell Duggins and William "Bill" Aitken; daughter, Linda Joritz ( husband, Bill, who survives) and son, Richard Aitken; two sisters, Pearl and Virginia; seven brothers, Tom, Delbert, Audrey, Eugene, Robert, Andy and William Jr..

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, (March 9, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Billy Compton and Bro. Mike Strehl will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.

The family asks that you come if you feel comfortable to do so but if you don't feel comfortable with attending then just know that they understand.  And know that if you do plan on attending that masks are required.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Mary Aitken Memorial Fund (104 Walnut Hill Dr., Leitchfield, KY 42754).  All proceeds will go to the Stones View United Methodist Church.
