Obituary
Mary Ellen Tarrance, age 70, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (February 26, 2018) at the Norton's Inpatient Care Center in Louisville KY.
She was born on August 24, 1947 in Mercer County, KY, the daughter of the late Biven Lee and Juanita Mae Long Baxter.
On August 28, 1965, she married Gene Tarrance. She was a retired machinist from Vermont American, who enjoyed sewing and being with family and was a member of the Stones View United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Tarrance, four brothers, James Reed and William Lee Baxter of Leitchfield, Thomas Reed Baxter of Caneyville, KY and Gary Baxter of Ohio, and two sisters, Donna Gail Robinson of Leitchfield and Sally Jo Underwood of North Carolina.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Baxter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (March 2, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Billy Compton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
