Mary Ann Cannon, age 70, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (June 22, 2021) at Morgantown Care and Rehab.

She was born on January 10, 1951 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Murl and Deloris Stinson Gibson.

On February 8, 1969, Mary married her best friend Freck Cannon whom preceded her in death. Together they were charter members of The Little Church.

Mary was a retired factory worker. She was an avid hunter & loved to fish. She enjoyed going to the beach and on cruises exploring God's beautiful world.

She is survived by her daughter, Missy (Allan) Fentress and son Kenny (Brandy) Cannon. Mary left behind her grandchildren, Allie (Tim) Dotson, Kyler (Raven) Cannon, Ryan Cannon, the boy's mom, Danielle (Joey) Joyce, Kendra Cannon, Bailey Cannon, Christian & Skylar Thomas. She also had three great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Maggie & Phoenix Dotson. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Jimmy, Dale, Doug, Vance and William Gibson, Janetta Carroll, Shirlen Gibson and Donna Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive as well as her best friend and sister-in-law Diane Cannon.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Hulan "Freck" Cannon; two brothers, Chuck and Larry Gibson; a sister, Becky Smith; and a special close sister-in-law Sheila Gibson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (June 26, 2021) at The Little Church on Shrewsbury Road. Bro. Jerry Weedman and Bro. William Dodson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Cannon Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and will move to The Little Church on Saturday for a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
