Mary Margaret Farris, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (May 17, 2020) at the Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

She was born on October 25, 1938 in Shrewsbury, KY, the daughter of the late Tollie and Beulah Wilson Hack.

She was a cook for the Mt. Washington school system who enjoyed gardening and going to church and was a member of the Short Creek United Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara "Bobbie" Bratcher of Caneyville; a granddaughter, Tara Riley Newman of Caneyville; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Newman, Nicole Newman and Tanner Newman; two sisters, Helen Farris of Caneyville and Melvinia Wilson of Georgetown, IN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Farris; one sister, Millie "Jeannie" Porter; two brothers, James "Frank" Hack and Tollie Hack.

Private Services will be held.
