Mary Lou Fentress, age 80, of Leitchfield, passed away Tuesday, (September 1, 2026) at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

She was born on November 16, 1945, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Clarence and Geraldine Phelps Mudd.

She was a retired bus driver who had driven for the Jefferson County School System and the Grayson County School System. She enjoyed playing computer games, and BINGO. Her hobbies included doing arts and crafts, sitting on her front porch, and playing with her dogs. She married James R. Fentress on October 23, 1981. She was a founding member of The Little Church and had worshipped there for over 15 years.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Fentress; daughters, Debra Roberts, Theresa Glass, and Sheila Singer; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Pat Fenwick (Sonny); and several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, George Roberts, Jr., granddaughter, Sabrina Roberts; and siblings, Bill Mudd, Carol Mills, Sue Tucker, and Vicky Mills.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (September 5, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. William Dodson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Old Wilson Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services.
