Mary Hayes, age 63, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (March 31, 2008) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on September 6, 1944, in Grayson County KY, the daughter of Van and Blanche Newton Willis. She was a machine operator for Bel Cheese.

She is survived by her husband, Charles, two sons, Johnny Hayes and Tim Hayes and his wife, Kim all of Leitchfield, one sister, Carolyn McStoots of Leitchfield, five brothers, Frank of Illinois, Harlan of Clarkson, KY, Randall and Laymon both of Sadler, KY and Darrell Willis of Edmonson Co, KY, six grandchildren, Danielle, Aaron, Alex, Adam, Tyler and Mackenzie Hayes and one great grandchild, Cameron Noe. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Carnes and Erma Decker.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (April 3, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Ed Cockriel will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
