Mary Thelma Hester Harrison, age 78 of Anneta, KY, passed away Friday, (May 16, 2008) at her home in Anneta.

She was born on October 17, 1929, in Edmonson County KY, the daughter of Jeff H. and Gertha Rigdon Hester. She was a charter member of the Homemakers Club, a long time member of the Republican Party, a Kentucky Colonel, and a 50 year member of the Anneta United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jay Harrison of Anneta, KY, two daughters, Patty (Frank) Parrigan of Anneta, Peggy (Paul) Wirth of Hodgenville, KY, one brother, Delmer Hester of Louisville, two sisters, Naomi Wade of Louisville and Catherine Wade of Clarkson, four grandchildren, Jordan (Kevin) Davis of Prospect, KY, Josey (Roger) Crew of Elizabethtown, Thomas and Tyra Parrigan of Anneta, one great grandchild, Darby Leigh Davis of Prospect, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Jesse, Opal and Winford Hester, one sister Vanda Hester, two half brothers Earl and Thomas Hester, and two half sisters Clara Wilson and Janie Carroll.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday (May 19, 2008) at the Anneta United Baptist Church, under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Patton and Bro. Edward Dermitt will be officiating. Burial will be in the Anneta Cemetery.
